If These Walls Could Sing arrives with the 90th anniversary of famed London recording studio.
Universal Music Group’s recently-launched production house Mercury Studios has announced a documentary about Abbey Road Studios. If These Walls Could Sing will explore the legendary recording studio’s history in conjunction with Abbey Road’s 90th anniversary this November. The film is produced by John Battsek and directed by filmmaker and photographer Mary McCartney, daughter of Paul and Linda.
“Some of my earliest memories as a young child come from time spent at Abbey Road,” Mary McCartney said in a statement. “I’ve long wanted to tell the story of this historic place, and I couldn’t be collaborating with a better team than John and Mercury Studios to make this creative ambition a reality.”

我對音樂了解很少，但這部電影能讓我去搜索幾段音樂，顯然提高了我對這幾段的興趣——其實這已經很不容易了。一流的音樂加上一流的演奏者，應該在一流的錄音室完成製作。這個配合在同一個錄音室做得比較久比較多了之後，人們傳說，那個錄音室有靈性。誰也說不清，但是很多人相信，這不就是一種魔力嗎？
