乌玛瑟曼的处女作，关于橄榄球学生仔择校的故事，充其量是个小打小闹二流轻喜剧，叙事支离破碎，以一段自醒的演说收场倒还算利落。导演用了些西部片元素提高娱乐性。整教练那场戏则是偷师The Party；汽车电影院放的则是老罗伯特唐尼导演的Putney Swope，小唐尼这次的表演有些夸张。
